Established in 1942 CSIR, India is a premier research and development organization. A conglomerate of 37 laboratories and 37 field stations, with an annual budget of over 300 million USD, CSIR carries out cutting edge research in diverse areas spanning virtually the entire spectrum of science and technology ranging from aeronautics to oceanography to biotechnology to petroleum to healthcare to food technology and the like.
CSIR has, over the years, developed a vast array of innovative products, processes and technologies in partnership with its global partners, which include Du Pont, GE, EXXON Mobil, Stone & Webster, Novo Nordisk, Neste Oye, Parke Davis and Zymogenetics amongst many others.
